THE AUTHOR

Jim was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in Kirkland, Washington.  He attended Lake Washington High school and competed in football, basketball and track.  He attended Oregon State University. At the end of his freshman year he volunteered for a two-year hitch in the Army and was  a dog-handler on the Korean DMZ.  After his honorable discharged, he returned to Oregon State University.  Upon graduation, he was recruited by the Los Angeles Rams   After football Jim went into law enforcement.  He was a Deputy Sheriff, Treasury IRS Inspector and eventually became a Special Agent for the United States Secret Service.   During his 24 years Secret Service career, he protected six  Presidents as well as many foreign dignitaries.  As Assistant Special Agent in Charge of three Headquarters Divisions, he directed counterfeit currency investigations and Treasury related forgery and fraud investigations, giving him keen insight and firsthand knowedge of this dangerous and fascinating corner of crime.  Jim and his wife, Mary, also a retired USSS agent, own Davidson Global Security.  They manage high end personal protection and international fraud money recoveries.  They live in Southern California and enjoy spending time with their family.
